Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Light Equipment Operator-Sanitation based in The Villages, FL. You will join a two-person truck team, driving a garbage truck on fixed routes, and acting as a pitcher to collect waste from homes while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Possess valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) & DOT medical card.
• 2 years of commercial driving experience within the past 5 years.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Pass background & drug screening.
• Wear steel-toed boots daily.
• Understand and follow OSHA safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate the garbage truck on pre-assigned routes.
• Ride the back of the truck to collect waste from residential customers.
• Load and unload trash, transport to disposal sites.
• Schedule and tag bulk items for separate pickup.
• Follow established routes and schedules with route maps.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintenance.
• Interact courteously with residents and others during collection.
• Possibility of emergency duties as needed.
