Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee (Driver Class B Trainee). This role trains to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services in a defined route.

Safety-Kleen will pay for you to obtain your CDL. Preferred candidates will have strong customer service skills, basic computer and math abilities, and effective written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• CDL-B required within 180 days (company-paid)
• Hazmat/Tanker endorsement within 30 days of CDL B
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential

Responsibilities

• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups on route
• Sell additional products and services into existing accounts
• Generate/collect leads for new products and services
• Follow all DOT, state and federal regulations and company guidelines
• Safely operate Class B box truck and perform onsite service for parts washer machines
• Maintain accurate documentation and labeling and complete required paperwork
• Obtain CDL B within 180 days and Hazmat/Tanker endorsements as required
• Manage time and productivity independently
