Job summary

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company, LLC in Mobile, AL is seeking a Route Trainee CDL to join a fast-paced distribution team. This touch freight role covers delivery, stocking, and merchandising shelves, racks and displays across assigned accounts, ensuring compliance with company standards.

You will unload, merchandise, set up promotions, and communicate issues to management while adhering to DOT regulations and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Class A CDL required and compliant with fleet policy.
• PPE as required by position and safety policies.
• Regular and prompt attendance is essential.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Neat professional appearance per company guidelines.
• Maintain safety and security of company assets.
• Use company resources and technology.
• HS diploma or GED or 6–12 months related experience.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information to customers and employees.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units.
• Follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Handle basic variables in standardized tasks.
• Operate manual or motorized pallet jack.
• Build strong relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

• Unload and transport products from the route truck to retail outlets.
• Merchandise all products inside outlets to company standards.
• Set up merchandise and promotions displays.
• Communicate store-level issues to management.
• Comply with DOT rules for driving purposes.
• Safeguard company assets.
• Maintain rapport with customers.
• Collect or pick up empty containers or unsold merchandise.
• Ability to use a handheld device.
