Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Route Driver to operate a semi-truck or vacuum truck for the collection of animal mortalities, fat and bone, or grease from customer sites. The exact raw material depends on plant location, with responsibilities tailored accordingly.

Applicants should hold CDL A with tanker endorsements (or CDL B depending on route) and be able to maintain the vehicle, complete required paperwork, and uphold safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL A with tanker endorsement or CDL B depending on route.
• Registered on FMCsa clearinghouse.
• Strong computer and basic math skills are preferred.
• Willing to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate semi-truck or vacuum truck to collect materials from customer locations.
• Maintain vehicle and comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Complete route tickets and driver vehicle inspection reports daily.
• Maintain excellent customer relations and provide professional service.
• Record and report mileage, accidents, and service forms as required.
