Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Route Driver to operate a semi-truck or vacuum truck and collect animal mortalities, fat, bone, or grease. Duties vary by plant location and require maintaining the vehicle, completing route paperwork, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old with clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• CDL A license with tanker endorsements.
• Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/.

Responsibilities

• Operate semi-truck or vacuum truck for pickup of animal mortalities, fat and bone, or grease.
• Maintain vehicle in clean condition and operate per regulations.
• Complete route tickets and driver vehicle inspection reports daily.
• Maintain electronic DOT log and paperwork with receipts and signatures.
• Attend safety meetings and support safety committee if needed.
