Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Route Driver to operate a semi-truck or vacuum truck for collecting animal mortalities, fat and bone, or grease at customer locations. The role requires safety-focused driving, routine paperwork, and strong customer service across assigned routes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• CDL A license with tanker endorsements required; FMCSA Clearinghouse registration required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and inspect raw material at pickup for foreign or hazardous materials.
• Maintain electronic DOT log and complete route tickets daily.
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness and safety checks; operate in compliance with regulations.
• Provide professional customer service and obtain customer signatures on receipts.
• Complete all required paperwork and route tickets; manage assigned route.
