Job summary

Denali seeks a Class A CDL Route Driver in Flint, MI to collect and transport food waste along intrastate and interstate routes. Expect 15–25 customer stops daily, safety‑driven operations, and strict DOT compliance.

Start times begin around 6am; prepare for up to 60 hours weekly with varying routes. Ideal candidate holds a CDL Class A, a clean record, and demonstrates strong communication, time management, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Self-certification as Non-Excepted Interstate.
• Either 23+ with 2 years tractor-trailer experience, or 21+ with 1 year plus driving school, or 21+ with 1 year military driving.
• Stable, verifiable employment history.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Basic computer and mobile proficiency.
• Strong communication, customer-service, and time-management skills.
• Commitment to safe driving and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Load, haul, collect, and deliver food-waste materials on company routes.
• Complete ~15–25 stops per day per route.
• Operate manual and automatic commercial vehicles per DOT rules.
• Use pallet jacks and basic tools for minor repairs.
• Maintain DOT logs and required records with ELOG system.
• Report accidents, injuries, and safety incidents promptly.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and operations teams regularly.
• Attend safety calls, trainings, and briefings.
