Job summary

Denali is seeking a Class A CDL Route Driver for Farmington, CT. This full-time role involves loading and delivering food waste and green waste across intra- and interstate routes, handling 15–25 stops daily, and operating 30–45 ft trailers with DOT-compliant practices.

Safety is emphasized; applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen and have the required CDL, MVR/PSP records, and experience. Weekly pay and a retention bonus are among the benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL License (non-excepted interstate)
• Clean MVR and PSP
• Must be at least 23 years old with 2 years of tractor-trailer experience OR 21 with 1 year experience if graduating from Truck Driving School or 1 year of Military experience
• Stable work history
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Load, haul, and deliver food waste and green waste on intra- and interstate routes with 15–25 stops daily
• Operate 30’–45’ open-top dump trailers and combination vehicles safely
• Operate manual and automatic transmissions per DOT and laws
• Service customer locations using bins and totes
• Operate pallet jacks as needed
• Use pressure washers to clean bins and containers
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Do basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
• Maintain truck and equipment cleanliness
• Use ELDs and maintain DOT logs
• Submit service tickets, reports, and maintenance docs
• Communicate with customers, vendors, dispatch, and ops teams
• Report accidents and safety concerns to management
• Attend weekly safety meetings and trainings
• Use computers and mobile devices for routing and admin tasks
• Maintain flexibility for varying schedules
