Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon seeks a Route Driver to transport transformer units and materials to assigned locations, ensuring timely delivery in a safe, efficient manner. You will load/unload, secure cargo, and follow routes planned by the commercial team, while maintaining precise delivery records.

Must have a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of driving experience, and a valid Class A CDL. OTR flatbed experience and MVR cleanliness are required; Hazmat endorsement is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• 3 years of truck driving experience is required.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• OTR flatbed experience is required.
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission.
• A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.
• Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain it preferred.
• Strong work ethic and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks safely, following traffic laws and company policies.
• Load and unload transformer units, securing items for transit.
• Plan routes considering traffic and weather for timely delivery.
• Maintain an active list of customers and service frequency set by the team.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Communicate delivery statuses and delays to team and clients.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE when required.
• Complete delivery logs and paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Interact professionally with clients and other road users.
• Maintain flexibility for a fast-paced work environment.
