Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL driver to deliver and pick up roll-off containers in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area. You will keep routes efficient, complete billing on a tablet, and comply with DOT hours and safety standards.

You will represent Veit on-site and with customers, coordinate with Dispatch and sales, and perform routine vehicle inspections. Union-based role with 8–12 hour shifts, Monday–Friday, possible weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with six months of related experience or training.
• Class A or B CDL license is required.
• DOT medical card is required for operating a DOT vehicle.
• Experience using email or ability to learn digital tools and tablets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up roll-off containers in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.
• Monitor local road conditions, detours, and communicate with Dispatch.
• Complete work orders on Android tablet for customer billing.
• Adhere to DOT hours-of-service regulations and coordinate with Dispatch.
• Present Veit professionally on site and with customers.
• Report pickup/delivery changes to Dispatch and sales teams.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Coordinate with mechanics to identify issues and schedule repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
