Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Nelsonville, OH is hiring Roll Off Drivers to service customers, haul waste, and operate roll-off containers on a daily route. You will perform pre-trip inspections, ensure load security, and interact with customers to maintain high service standards.

Candidates should have a valid Class B CDL, DOT medical card, and be 19 or older. Night/weekend shifts and overtime may be required, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map and/or navigation system.
• Ability to drive manual transmission is preferred.
• General knowledge of the truck mechanics.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with customers.
• Must read and speak English well enough to understand directions and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck to deliver and remove roll-off containers on assigned routes or work orders.
• Maintain and update route sheets.
• Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and DVIR logs.
• Visually inspect roll-off containers and ensure load securement.
• Clean up areas around the compactor when servicing customers.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck cab and equipment.
• Enter/exit the truck multiple times per day; hook/unhook containers; secure tarps.
• Interact professionally with customers and coordinate with dispatch.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
