Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a local CDL driver to operate roll-off equipment on local routes.

The role emphasizes safe handling of waste, debris, and recyclables, with opportunities to work with modern equipment in a stable, local schedule. The ideal candidate holds a valid CDL Class A or B, has at least 1 year of driving experience (roll-off preferred), and can lift up to 50 lbs while working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• CDL license in good standing (Class A or B).
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience (Roll-off preferred).
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb truck steps/beds, and work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safe operations.

Responsibilities

• Master the Heavy Haul: Safely drive roll-off trucks to haul waste, construction debris, or recyclables across assigned local routes.
• Hook, Lift, & Roll: Operate hydraulic hoists and cables to load, unload, and position 10-to-40-yard open-top containers and industrial compactors.
• Precision Placement: Navigate tight construction sites and commercial properties with expert mirror and maneuvering skills.
• Safety First: Inspect loads, secure cables/tarping, and complete daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

• Credentials: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B) in good standing.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience (Roll-off experience preferred).
• Physical Fitness: Capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb truck steps/beds, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliability: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe operations.
