Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee Program or CDL school.
• Active Pennsylvania Class A or B CDL with Air Brake restriction (L) removed.
• Tank Vehicle Endorsement (N) during the probationary period.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate as required by FMCSA.
• Drug and Alcohol testing required.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks, loaders, and equipment for roadway and bridge maintenance.
• Follow required safety procedures, report hazards, and maintain awareness of work areas.
• Perform flagging duties to guide motorists safely when equipment is in use.
• Use motorized and non-motorized tools for tasks like cutting brush, cleaning culverts, and repairing guiderails.
• Complete pre- and post-operation checks, perform minor repairs, and maintain equipment records.
• Assist mechanics and coworkers with repairs, safety efforts, and maintenance activities.
