Job summary

The Town of Branford is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker for street and road system upkeep. You will perform daily maintenance, debris cleanup, snow plowing, and operate a range of equipment under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 4 years in related field, and a valid CDL Class B with tanker endorsement. The role involves outdoor, variable weather conditions and interaction with the public.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four (4) years’ experience in construction, maintenance, or repair, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Must have CDL Class B with tanker endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily road maintenance and related tasks as assigned.
• Cut, clean up and dispose of windstorm debris and roadside trash; transport to Transfer Station.
• Plow snow, spread sand and salt; shovel sidewalks as needed.
• Operate medium and small equipment; perform minor maintenance on trucks.
