Job summary

Patriot Disposal / Apple Valley Waste is seeking a Company Driver for residential trash collection in Selinsgrove, PA. This full-time role involves operating a rear-load garbage truck on specified routes, with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The position requires a Class A or B CDL with a valid DOT medical certificate, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and the capability to perform pre/post-trip inspections. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, with some Saturdays and home time each evening.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A or B CDL with a current, valid DOT medical certificate.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs and climb in/out of the truck.
• Ability to perform pre- and post-trip inspections on the truck and components.

Responsibilities

• Operate rear-load garbage truck on assigned residential routes safely.
• Lift and move objects up to 70 lbs; perform manual labor as needed.
• Read route sheets and service customers on the route as directed by dispatch.
• Work full-time, year-round with Monday–Friday hours; occasional Saturdays; typically home each evening.
• Operate hydraulic controls to load and dump waste.
• Conduct basic pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle readiness.
