Job summary

Waste Pro has immediate openings for energetic CDL drivers in Jacksonville. The Residential Driver operates refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes, performing pre/post inspections, maintaining the vehicle, and providing courteous service to customers on a daily schedule.

Employees may participate in a $10,000 driver award program designed to recognize dedicated drivers. The role requires DOT compliance, safe driving, and the ability to work with a team across multiple stops per route.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state of work.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Understand refuse collection policies and DOT/state requirements for CMV operators.
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and write legibly.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives truck on pre-established route and collects garbage and recyclables.
• Provide courteous, expeditious customer service and maintain a positive attitude.
• Ensure proper pickup and transfer of refuse; use back door as needed.
• Perform daily pre/post trip inspections and safety checks per DOT guidelines.
• Keep truck clean and perform routine maintenance and reporting.
• Assist with handling and disposal of waste as directed; operate hydraulics.
• Prepare and submit required company and regulatory reports.
