Job summary

Waste Pro operates residential refuse routes with CDL-equipped drivers, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, safe driving, and routine yard waste/recycling pickups. Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state in which the position works; requires a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Understand DOT and state requirements for operators of CMVs.
• Ability to hear in the normal audio range; vision adequate for driving.
• Must be able to drive various refuse truck configurations and observe safe driving practices.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and records.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives truck on pre-established routes; collects and dumps garbage and recyclables.
• Provides courteous, expeditious service to customers and communities.
• Ensures proper handling of garbage and recyclables and tags improper containers when needed.
• Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections; maintains safety records.
• Keeps truck clean; inspects under hood and tires; checks fluid levels.
• Completes required company and regulatory reports and documents.
• Supervises helpers on route and adheres to DOT requirements.
