Job summary

Sunshine Disposal & Recycling in Lewiston, ID is hiring a full-time Refuse Truck Driver to operate automated collection trucks on residential and commercial routes. Day shift 6:30am-2:30pm, starting wage 23.79/hour with bumps at 6, 12, and 18 months and COLA beginning in 2027.

CDL Class A or B and a valid DOT medical card are required, along with FMCSA drug testing compliance. The company offers a comprehensive package including paid PTO, holidays, company-paid medical/dental/vision, 401(k)

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with valid DOT medical card.
• Two years CDL driving experience required.
• Must comply with FMCSA drug testing rules.
• Insurability requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated refuse collection trucks on designated routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Communicate with Route Supervisor to resolve issues.
• Dump waste at end of day and maintain truck cleanliness.
• Attend safety and training meetings as scheduled.
• Submit route data and notes daily via tablet/paper.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
