Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a Ready-Mix Driver in Bradenton, FL to operate concrete mixer trucks and deliver loads to commercial and residential sites. This role requires navigating varied conditions and handling extension chutes up to 50 pounds.

You will work with dispatchers to ensure timely deliveries, maintain truck safety, and uphold excellent customer service while following all safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Educational and Licensing Requirements: Valid CDL A or B. High School diploma preferred. Driver must qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Skills: Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking). Acceptable CSA and MVR record; no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years. Strong understanding of safety protocols in construction and transportation.
• Knowledge of traffic routes and basic maintenance skills for truck upkeep (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Delivery & Timing: Ensure the safe and timely delivery of concrete loads to job sites.
• Discharge Management: Adapt discharge methods to various site settings and conditions.
• Extension Chute Handling: Attach and manage extension chutes as necessary for precise concrete pouring.
• Truck Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and mechanical soundness of the ready-mix truck.
• Customer Service: Provide outstanding service and maintain a professional image.
• Team Coordination: Work with dispatch and other team members for efficient operations.
