Job summary

Laramie County Community College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor, CDL Program. This part-time, non-benefited role delivers CDL instruction, supports students, conducts safety checks, and assists with program operations under the CDL Program Manager.

The position requires CDL knowledge, safety training, and the ability to work with internal and external customers. Starting date is as soon as practical after hiring; compensation is $33.39/hr.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Three years of Class A CDL experience and eligibility for coverage by the College’s insurance policy.
• Current US DOT Medical Certificate.
• Registered in the FMCSA Clearinghouse system and able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Motor Vehicle Record reflecting “Licensed” Commercial Status.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver clear objectives and instructional activities to facilitate active learning.
• Demonstrate safe vehicle operation with proper driving techniques and pre-trip inspections.
• Maintain vehicles in safe condition through routine inspections and timely maintenance.
• Complete maintenance repair forms for the CDL Program Manager.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, OSHA, FERPA, FMCSA, state law, and related rules.
