You will train with skilled professionals, perform field checks, assist with repairs, and follow department procedures to support safe and reliable travel; starting salary is $42,347 with full-time hours 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License or equivalent.
• Active Pennsylvania Class A/B Commercial Driver Learner's Permit with Air Brake Restriction (L) removed on first day.
• Active Medical Examiner’s Certificate per FMCSA regulations by first day.
• Ability to operate equipment with a manual transmission during probation.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy trucks, loaders and roadway equipment for maintenance.
• Follow safety practices, observe work areas, report injuries, hazards and near misses.
• Use motorized and non-motorized tools for tasks like cutting brush, clearing culverts, patching roads.
• Perform and document pre/post operation checks; adjust equipment as needed.
• Carry out environmental protection requirements linked to maintenance activities.
• Assist coworkers and mechanics with repairs, adjustments and safe work procedures.
