Job summary

The Commonwealth Of Pennsylvania is seeking a motivated PennDOT CDL Operator Trainee to gain practical experience in operating construction and maintenance equipment. This full-time role includes equipment training and the development of essential job skills to ensure roadway safety.

The successful candidate must possess a Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License and work towards a Class A or B Commercial Driver Learner's Permit. Additional responsibilities include following safety practices and becoming proficient with tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License.
• Possession of an active Pennsylvania Class A or B Commercial Driver Learner's Permit on the first day of work.
• Possession of an active Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate trucks, loaders, and other heavy equipment under supervision.
• Work toward required licenses and equipment certifications for the job site.
• Use hand tools and motorized tools to complete various tasks.
