Job summary

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking an Operator (CDL) to join our team. The operator will maintain and operate equipment across locations, adhering to safety practices and DOT regulations. This role includes inspections, setup, and assisting in project planning and on-site procedures.

Qualified candidates will have a valid CDL, be able to work overtime, and possess basic math and reading/writing abilities. Travel and night work may be required; HazMat endorsement is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid driver\'s license with clean driving record and acceptable ID.
• CDL Standard Transmission A or B endorsement; hazmat recommended but not required.
• Must be able to work overtime, holidays and weekends (rotating).
• TWIC card is a plus but not a requirement.
• Must understand verbal and written instructions and be able to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow safe work practices.
• Operate and maintain equipment and support additional service line equipment as needed.
• Perform hazard recognition to remove hazards from the workplace.
• Set up and perform assigned jobs; DOT driver must comply with regulations and records.
• Inspect company vehicles, equipment and tools before/after use and report deficiencies.
• Assist in project planning, on-site inspections, and writing procedures.
