- Responsible for load securement to comply with federal, state, and local requirements
- Ensure proper maintenance is being followed
- Use pull-behind hydro-vac to safely hydro excavate utilities
- Trench, place duct, pull cable, and direct bury main‑line and drops
- Perform restoration back to existing conditions
- Constantly communicate with crew members
- Maintain accuracy in all reporting functions
- Assist with safety events and is constantly on the lookout for changing conditions
- Assist laborers with hand digging, potholing, handhole installation and restoration work when needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Crew Lead or Foreman
- Ensure equipment is in proper working order and that all systems are working correctly
Key Qualifications
- Driver’s license required
- Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) preferred
- Minimum age of 18
- Keen attention to safety
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Coachable, willing to follow instructions
- Willing to travel
- Tolerates a wide range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
- The physical activity required for this role includes:
- Standing or walking for long periods of time
- Walking on variable or uneven terrain
- Move in, around, and about construction vehicles
- Repeatedly lifting heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.)
- Other repetitive movements, such as kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
