Horizontal Directional Drill Locator

We’re looking to hire a Horizontal Directional Drill Locator. Locators are responsible for precise drill placement, utilizing the latest in electronics to navigate the drill stem in a trenchless operation. Key Qualifications

• CDL Driver’s License
• Experience with locating & verifying underground utilities
• Knowledge of telecommunications construction
• Familiarity with Horizontal Directional Drills
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
• Clear oral and written communication skills
• A positive attitude and good work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Independent worker with a keen attention to safety
• Flexibility to travel as needed
• The physical activity required for this role includes:
  • Standing or walking for long periods with repeated lifting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead
  • Repeatedly lifting heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Proximity to energized and de-energized electric lines and moving mechanical parts
  • Exposure to a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
  • Frequently pull or push heavy objects, occasionally exerting 100 pounds of force, and frequently exerting 50 pounds of force
  • Occasionally work in confined spaces or on elevated work surfaces up to 75 feet
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
