Job summary

BioTouch in San Antonio, TX is seeking a DOT Semi-Truck Medical Driver to safely transport medical supplies, specimens, medications, and equipment between hospitals, labs, and clinics.

The role requires a valid CDL, a clean DOT record, adherence to HIPAA privacy, and punctual, reliable performance with a 3:30 PM–1:00 AM Monday–Friday schedule. You will inspect vehicles, follow safety protocols, and communicate with dispatch and healthcare partners.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL and applicable endorsements.
• Meets DOT/FMCSA requirements for the position.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience, with commercial driving preferred.
• Clean motor vehicle record per company/client requirements.
• Able to pass DOT pre-employment drug/alcohol testing, physical, background check, and MVR review.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with tractor-trailer and healthcare logistics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailer per DOT/FMCSA and company rules.
• Transport medical supplies, specimens, medications, and equipment between facilities.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report safety issues.
• Maintain chain-of-custody and required delivery documentation.
• Communicate professionally with hospitals and clients.
