LIVE HAUL DRIVER/FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Pilgrim’s is looking for YOU to join our team as a LIVE HAUL DRIVER! This position offers a starting pay of $28.53 - $31.39 /hour, plus a $1/hour shift differential and a $4/hour perfect attendance bonus paid weekly.

Position Summary

The Live Haul Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of trucks and forklifts within the Live Haul department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate Live Haul trucks safely, transporting fragile loads
• Operate forklifts to load trucks at contract farms safely and efficiently
• Perform equipment inspections per company guidelines and report issues
• Follow Packers and Stockyards Act guidelines for weighing live poultry
• Follow truck tarping procedures during inclement weather
• Other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements and Basic Qualifications

• Knowledge of driving and traffic rules
• Some mechanical skills
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Valid Class A driver’s license required
• Preference for manual endorsement
• Good driving record with at least 3 years’ experience
• 0-12 months experience with a valid Class A license

Candidate Expectations

• Ability to work nights, weekends as needed
• Ability to work independently and uphold company values
• Follow biosecurity protocols at farms
• Operate equipment safely and conscientiously
