POSITION SUMMARY:

The Live Haul Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of trucks and forklifts within the Live Haul department.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operates Live Haul trucks safely and with care to transport fragile loads
• Operates forklift loading trucks at contract growers safely and efficiently
• Performs equipment inspections per company guidelines and reports issues
• Follows Packers and Stockyards Act guidelines for weighing live poultry
• Follows truck tarping guidelines during bad weather
• Other duties as required

Educational Requirements And Basic Qualifications

• Knowledge of driving and traffic rules
• Some mechanical skill
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Valid Class A driver’s license required
• Preference for manual endorsement
• Good driving record with at least 3 years experience
• 0-12 months experience with a valid Class A license
• Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily; accommodations may be made for disabilities
