Job summary

Bettis Companies seeks a reliable Lowboy Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator to perform truck operations on public roads and active job sites. You will complete pre-trip checks, secure loads, and assist with maintenance while adhering to safety rules and FMCSA guidelines.

The role prioritizes punctuality, teamwork, and strong communication with foremen and site crews. Valid CDL and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions are required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL with good driving record and no major violations.
• Able to pass pre-employment testing, including a drug screen and physical.
• Knowledge of operating tractor-trailer and various construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial heavy trucks on public highways and job sites safely.
• Perform daily maintenance, pre-trip checks, and secure loads.
• Meet delivery/pickup schedules and follow company policies and FMCSA guidelines.
• Foster professional relationships with team members and customers.
• Maintain logs and reports as required by foreman and management.
