Job summary

Bettis Companies is seeking a CDL Tanker and Distributor Truck Driver to operate a Class A or B heavy truck on public roadways and construction sites across Western Kansas and Eastern Colorado. The role requires pre-trip checks, load securement, and routine maintenance while following FMCSA guidelines.

You must hold a tanker endorsement, valid CDL, DOT medical certificate, and a clean driving record, with a minimum age of 21.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A or B CDL.
• Must have a Tanker Endorsement.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Certificate.
• Must have a good driving record with no major violations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen with a negative result.
• Must be able to complete a post-offer physical with a capable result.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy and FMCSA guidelines.
• Perform daily maintenance and pre-trip checks.
• Clean trucks and material from the trailer using hand and power tools.
• Ensure the truck is secured at the end of the shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

CDL Tanker and Distributer Truck Driver

Primary Function

The Class A or B Truck Driver is responsible for operating a commercial heavy truck on public roadways and on the construction jobsite in a safe and efficient manner. Commercial heavy trucks include Water Trucks and Tack Distributor Trucks. The Truck Driver will complete pre-trip checks, assist with fluid checks and maintenance, secure loads, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy and FMCSA guidelines.
• Performing daily maintenance and pre-trip checks.
• Responsible for cleaning trucks and material from trailer with the use hand and power tools.
• Ensuring that the truck is secured at the end of the shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Routinely enter and exit truck.
• Use ladder on trailer or platform to enter trailer and remove excess material.
• Chip or jackhammer concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials that have accumulated on the sides and front of trailer.

Required Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A or B CDL.
• Must have a Tanker Endorsement.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Certificate.
• Must have a good driving record with no major violations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to complete a pre-employment and random drug screens with “Negative” results.
• Must be able to complete a post-offer physical with a “Capable” result.
