Job summary

Richards Building Supply is seeking a CDL Class B Driver for our Kaiser, MO location. You will deliver materials to job sites, unload as required, and help receive inventory in the warehouse. The role offers local routes, home every night, with growth into knuckleboom, crane, and laddervator operation as you gain experience.

The position requires a CDL A or B with Air Brake, a clean driving record, current DOT medical card, and the ability to lift heavy loads. Typical hours are 7:00 A.M.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement or Class A license.
• 1 year CDL Class B or 2 years Class A driving experience.
• Experience with flatbed, moffett or knuckleboom equipment preferred.
• Crane and laddervator experience preferred.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Current DOT medical card and clean driving record.
• Must be 21+ and pass background and pre-employment DOT drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products to job sites and unload material per customer requests.
• Receive materials in the warehouse, load trucks, and process inventory.
• Maintain local driving schedule, home daily, typically Mon-Fri 7:00–16:00.
• Operate equipment as needed and ensure loads are secured per DOT rules.

Job description

Richards Building Supply Co. is currently searching for a CDL Class B Driver for our Kaiser, MO Location. Can have either CDL Class A or CDL Class B License with Air Brake Endorsement.

Our delivery drivers are responsible for safely delivering products to the job site and physically unloading material per the customer’s request as well as receiving materials in the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory.

This job entails local driving only, so you will be home daily!

Requirements:

• Will have a driver assistant riding with you who will be doing the following:
• Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.
• Deliveries will include unloading shingles on one and two story homes
• Loading trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
• Unloading trucks and receiving merchandise at warehouse.
• Move materials and items from receiving to its designated area.
