Job summary

Linde plc in Lafayette, IN is seeking a CDL driver for 1st shift (6:30am–3:30pm) to deliver products to customers with about 10–12 stops daily, touch freight, and complete required paperwork with strong customer service. You will count deliveries/pickups and ensure DOT paperwork is accurate.

Required: high school diploma or GED, 2 years of driving or truck school cert, valid CDL A/B, hazmat endorsement or within 60 days, 21+, pass DOT physical, lift 75 lbs; clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; proficient in reading and writing English.
• Two years of consecutive driving experience or recent truck driving school cert; valid Class A or B CDL.
• Must be 21 years or older; hazmat endorsement or within 60 days of hire.
• No preventable accidents or major violations in past two years; no alcohol-related convictions in ten years.
• Must pass a DOT physical and be able to lift 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers, averaging 10–12 stops per day; touch freight; complete paperwork; provide excellent customer service.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up.
• Complete hazardous material shipping papers in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Identify needs for timely vehicle repairs or maintenance.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers to meet business goals.
• Continuously learn how Linde’s business operates to drive growth.
