Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a CDL Technician in Chesapeake, VA to support inspections, cleaning, repairs, and rehabilitation of sewer and storm water pipes. The role requires driving and operating equipment, performing manual tasks, and working with a crew to deliver turnkey trenchless solutions.

Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of Class A/B vehicle experience (Vac Truck preferred), a tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain one, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience operating a Class A or B vehicle, preferably a Vac Truck.
• Tanker endorsement required or willing to obtain.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test, DOT physical and background requirements.
• Willing to learn and operate other company equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor tasks as part of the crew.
• Drive and operate equipment as assigned.
• Enter manholes and underground structures when needed.
• Monitor pump operations and assist with inspection, cleaning, repairs and rehab.
