Job summary

VetJobs seeks a Truck Driver – Heavy (CDL) to operate heavy vehicles at the U.S. Army Equipment Turn-In Site, Fort Bliss, TX. You will move Army equipment, ensure secure loading, and document movements in compliance with Army, DOT, OSHA, and contract rules.

The role requires a valid CDL and ability to meet military and contractor standards. Responsibilities include local and long-haul missions, PMCS, and coordinating with the Transportation Coordinator and Site Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid CDL (Class A/B as required) and ability to comply with Army/contract rules.
• HAZMAT endorsement preferred or required if hauling hazardous materials.
• Ability to maintain logs and trip tickets accurately.
• Capable of working in a high-tempo environment and coordinating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport vehicles and materiel.
• Support turn-in operations by hauling assets from Army units to site or destinations.
• Assist with loading, securing, and unloading cargo using chains and straps.
• Maintain PMCS, logs, fuel records, and inspection sheets.
• Ensure proper shipping documents and compliance with DOT/Army requirements.
