Opifex-Synergy is hiring a CDL Driver to transport construction equipment between local sites using tractor-trailers. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, securing cargo, and maintaining accurate logs while adhering to DOT regulations.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, medical certification, and a clean driving record with 2+ years of tractor-trailer experience. You must pass background and drug tests, work flexible shifts, and stay physically fit to handle heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A driver’s license and medical certification.
• 2+ years of tractor-trailer driving preferred.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
• Comfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer.
• Alert, focused, and detail-oriented.
• Physically and mentally fit.
• Strong eyesight and hearing.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and secure equipment for transport.
• Safely load/unload with proper tools and handling techniques.
• Ensures cargo is balanced, tied down, and secured per policies and regulations.
• Confirms load documentation is accurate and equipment is protected during transit.
• Operates commercial vehicles on local and regional routes.
• Plans efficient travel paths considering traffic and deadlines.
• Adapts to schedule changes and customer needs.
• Completes pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Identifies mechanical issues early and reports promptly.
• Maintains accurate inspection logs and follows safety protocols.
• Communicates professionally with customers to ensure a positive delivery experience.
