Job summary

Opifex-Synergy seeks experienced, safety-minded CDL Drivers to join our growing team as we expand into new locations. CDL Drivers transport construction equipment between sites using tractor trailers and heavy trucks, ensuring safe, timely deliveries while following all traffic and safety regulations.

You must hold a valid Class A CDL and medical certification, with 2+ years of tractor-trailer driving experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Class A CDL and medical certification.
• 2+ years of tractor-trailer driving preferred.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Must be flexible for shifts.
• Able to maneuver and park a tractor-trailer.
• Physically and mentally fit; good eyesight and hearing.

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, and securing equipment for transport.
• Safely loads and unloads equipment using proper tools and handling techniques.
• Ensures cargo is balanced, tied down, and secured in compliance with regulations.
• Verifies load documentation and protects equipment during transit.
• Operates commercial vehicles on local and regional routes.
• Plans efficient travel paths considering traffic, weather, and deadlines.
• Performs pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Identifies mechanical issues promptly and reports them.
• Keeps accurate logs and hours-of-service documentation.
• Complies with DOT regulations and company policies.
