Job summary

PUSH, Inc., a privately owned premier communications and power utility contractor, is hiring a CDL Directional Drill Operator/Locator (HDD) to install fiber, copper, and power cables using HDD trenchless methods. The role requires experience around utilities in rural and urban areas and the ability to read prints and schematics.

Based in Wisconsin with service to Michigan, this field position involves travel, mentoring teammates, strict safety practices, equipment maintenance, and coordinating

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling around utilities in rural and urban areas.
• Ability to read prints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Operates Directional Bore equipment for installation of underground cable conduit or utilities.
• Ensure proper steering based on the noted job preparations and projections.
• Operates construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade alignment specification.
• Maintain bore profile plots and provide customer with directional drilling data.
• Abide all company and manufacturer safety procedures and industry safety standards, including mandatory safety meetings.
• Responsible for inspection and maintenance of all equipment, including routine maintenance by greasing, oiling, and minor repairs.
• Reads utility locates and coordinates day lighting of these facilities.
• Assist with all aspects of the job including basic labor responsibilities.
• Ensure setup and cleanup of work site including traffic and pedestrian control.
