Job summary

Stripe-A-Zone, a Frontline Road Safety Group company, is seeking a CDL Driver/Laborer to join our pavement marking team. You will drive heavy trucks, perform pre-trip inspections, and help ensure safe, on-time deliveries on long-haul routes.

Must have a valid CDL (Class A preferred) and be willing to travel two weeks at a time; lodging and per diem provided. We offer overtime, health benefits, a 401(k), and paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles with GVW over 26,000 lbs.
• Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck flatbed to prevent damage/injury.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations and company policies.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage before/after route; fuel truck as needed.
• Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport.
• Maintain and service vehicle (refuel, oil, tires, repairs).
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs daily.
• Loading, unloading, and driving trucks.
• Load/unload from vans or trucks.
• Adhere to company rules and regulations.

CDL HAZMAT Driver/Laborer (Pavement Marking/Striping)

• Pay Rate: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on CDL type and related experience. Overtime + Benefits, including Health, 401(k), and Paid Time Off/Holidays.
• Routine travel is required, typically two weeks at a time. (Lodging/Per Diem provided).
• MUST HAVE A VALID CDL LICENSE (A preferred).

CDL Driver/Laborer Job Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
• Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck flatbed to prevent damage/injury.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies and procedures. Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route. Fuels truck as needed.
• Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport.
• Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs and submit daily.
• Loading, unloading, and driving trucks.
• Bend and reach to load and unload van, truck, or personal vehicle.
• Adhere to company rules and regulations.
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in accordance with the weather/road conditions.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Always make safety a priority.

CDL Driver/Laborer Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required - Class A with Hazmat preferred.
• 2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred but not required.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles
• Alert, focused, and meticulous.
• Physically and mentally fit
• Ability to lift and move fifty pounds at a time.
