Job summary

Stripe-A-Zone, a Frontline Road Safety Group company, is seeking General Laborers for highways in the DFW area. You will drive, operate pavement-marking equipment, load/unload materials, and help with the application of thermo and paint systems.

Local candidates only; valid driver’s license and clean MVR required, with the ability to pass a urine drug test and work nights/weekends as needed. CDL/flagger/forklift certs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and Clean MVR.
• Able to pass urine drug analysis.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends (as needed).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers by hand and forklift.
• Operate large and small vehicles used on road projects.
• Operate equipment including hand machines, forklift, hand grinder, 3M hand-tape machine, 3M adhesive applicator and hand-roller tamper cart.
• Install Preformed Thermo (hot tape).
• Complete DVIRs and Daily Logs for CDL Drivers.
• Follow all Safety Policies and Procedures; perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

The General Laborer for roads and highways is responsible for understanding and performing all duties related to the pavement marking process. Including but not limited to driving and operating of Thermoplastic Trucks, Paint Trucks, TMA Trucks, and other Pavement Marking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Properly load and unload materials from trucks and trailers by hand and forklift.
• Operate large and small vehicles.
• Effectively Operate the following Vehicles/Equipment: hand machines, forklift, hand grinder, 3M hand-tape machine, 3M adhesive applicator and hand-roller tamper cart.
• Install Preformed Thermo (hot tape).
• Complete DVIRs and Daily Logs correctly for CDL Drivers
• Follow all Safety Policies and Procedures All other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

• Regularly required to stand/walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop; and kneel, crouch or crawl
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; moving equipment and machinery parts; moving traffic, and fumes and airborne particles
• Noise level of the work environment is usually moderate/loud

Travel

• Routine overnight travel is required on an ongoing basis, lodging and per diem is provided.

Preferred

• CDL License Holder
• TCS Certification - obtain and maintain a TCS certificate
• Flagger Certification - obtain and maintain a Flagger certificate
• Forklift Certification to operate a forklift
