Job description

Our CDL / HAZ-MAT Drivers load, deliver, unload, and pick up equipment and supplies from various local job sites. The fleet consists of ½ TON, ¾ TON, and 1 TON Pick-up trucks. Drivers must be dependable and responsible with a positive attitude, committed to excellent customer service and completing their tasks efficiently. A current Class A license with HAZ-MAT endorsement is required, along with adherence to all DOT regulations.

Essential Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

1. Deliver and pick up company, vendor, and customer equipment such as PPE, breathing air, and bottle trailers promptly from designated sites.
2. Maintain courteous customer relations, aiming to strengthen relationships through safe, accurate, and timely deliveries and pickups.
3. Serve as an Air Shop Technician as directed, performing inspection, cleaning, servicing, reassembling, and testing of customer equipment following approved procedures.
4. Continuously upgrade skills and capabilities through SOP training to handle new assignments and responsibilities.
5. Refuse unsafe tasks and report incidents immediately to management.
6. Respond promptly and safely to work requests from the Operations Dispatcher with a sense of urgency.
7. Inspect all equipment for damage or wear during pickups and report findings to the Dispatcher.
8. Follow safety checklists and perform pre-trip inspections for each vehicle or trailer.
9. Make deliveries and pickups from customer locations, ensuring all documentation is completed and submitted.
10. Practice safe and courteous driving at all times.
11. Learn and observe site-specific safety and driving requirements at each customer facility.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Safety-conscious with a clean 10-year driving record (no infractions or accidents)
• Over 10 years of Class A CDL driving experience with current HAZ-MAT endorsement
• Current TWIC card
• Must be 30 years or older
• Ability to access all client sites without restrictions
• Ability to pass background and drug tests

Physical Demands:

Requires frequent sitting, standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, handling, talking, hearing, walking, climbing, balancing, and regularly lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be able to push and pull up to 110 pounds (wheeled rack). Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

Position Details:

Full-time, with potential overtime and weekend hours. Rotating on-call schedule including weekends.
