Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Altoona, PA is seeking a Cylinder Processor - Driver to safely deliver and handle gas cylinders, unloading at customer sites and returning empties.

The role requires a valid CDL, Hazmat on CDL or within 60 days, at least two years of driving experience, English literacy, and the ability to pass a DOT medical exam. First shift, 21+.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years driving experience or completed truck driver training with similar equipment.
• No preventable accidents or moving violations in past two years.
• Valid Class A/B CDL required with Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• English reading/writing proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and unload products at customer locations and reload empties.
• Drive roughly 30% of the day; handle deliveries, cylinder handling, shipping paperwork, and inspections.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of product delivered or picked up.
• Complete Hazardous Materials shipping papers per DOT requirements.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report needed maintenance.
• Operate forklift and other plant equipment; maintain safety and quality records.
