Acme Barricades is hiring a Highway Guardrail Installer in Ocala, FL. The role requires a Class A CDL, ability to drive long hours, and installation of guardrails while following safety and regulatory guidelines. You will read plans, layout rails, load and unload materials, and manage deliveries with GPS routing.

The position offers overtime, weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package. Applicants must pass FMCSA requirements and provide medical certification.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years guardrail installation experience.
• Proven work as a truck driver with knowledge of trucking rules.
• Hands-on with electronic equipment and software (GPS/AVL/CB).
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Adaptability to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather).

Responsibilities

• Read plans and schematics for installations.
• Layout highway guardrail according to specs.
• Handle and install guardrail materials.
• Load/unload materials from truck; dig holes; use power tools.
• Operate Post Pounder/Driver Truck.
• Deliver materials to jobsites; maintain routes with GPS.
• Record cargo deliveries; keep paperwork up to date.
• Refuel and clean vehicle; inspect trucks and report issues.
• Follow traffic laws and accident procedures.
• Maintain hours log; plan routes using GPS.
