Job summary

Acme-Barricades- in Lakeland, FL is seeking a reliable CDL Driver to ensure safe, on-time deliveries to job sites and coordinate with dispatchers to plan efficient routes.

You will operate and maintain trucks, perform pre-trip inspections, logs, and paperwork, and comply with FMCSA regulations while loading, unloading, and reporting issues.

The role requires a Class A CDL, knowledge of local driving rules, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Current and Valid Class A CDL or commercial driver license required.
• Hands-on experience with GPS/AVL units and related software.

Responsibilities

• Drive long distances to deliver materials to jobsites in a timely manner.
• Load, unload and record cargo deliveries. Maintain paperwork.
• Refuel and clean vehicle.
• Inspect trucks and report issues to maintenance personnel.
• Follow traffic laws and accident procedures.
• Keep a log of hours and plan routes using GPS.
• Ensure CDL requirements remain up to date.
