Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling in Florida is seeking a CDL Grapple Driver to operate a Grapple Truck on assigned routes, servicing residential, commercial, industrial, or municipal customers. You will perform pre-trip inspections, follow DOT safety procedures, and represent the company with professionalism while delivering reliable waste collection services.

This role requires safety focus, strong communication, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and associated equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to safely climb, bend, squat, kneel, and enter/exit equipment throughout the workday.
• Willingness to work overtime and varying schedules as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Grapple Truck on assigned routes.
• Service residential, commercial, industrial, or municipal customers.
• Collect, transport, deliver, exchange, or dispose of materials per procedures.
• Operate hydraulic equipment and vehicle controls safely.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report safety concerns, accidents, or route delays promptly.
• Communicate with dispatch and operations throughout the day.
• Utilize onboard technology to complete route documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle.
• Assist teammates after completing route as directed by management.
• Follow all DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while representing Coastal Waste & Recycling professionally.
