Job summary

Facility Services Inc. is seeking a Garbage Truck Driver to support Fort Belvoir’s Solid Waste Management program by operating heavy refuse‑collection vehicles to collect, transport, and dispose of solid waste and recyclables across the installation.

Qualified candidates will have a CDL Class B, at least one year of commercial driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B required.
• Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience preferred.
• Clean driving record; ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and perform strenuous tasks.
• Normal duty hours 0700-1600; after hours only for special events.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and safe operation of heavy equipment preferred.
• Familiarity with solid waste handling procedures and environmental compliance standards preferred.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record.
