Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A or B CDL for the state of employment.
• Applicant must be at least 21 years old.
• Understand DOT requirements for CMV operators.
• Maintains a safe driving record and passes required checks.
• Ability to communicate in English with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections and basic cleaning.
• Follows designated refuse collection routes and schedules.
• Operates refuse collection equipment safely and efficiently.
• Communicates professionally with customers and internal staff.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-load refuse collection vehicle on pre-assigned routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic truck cleaning.
• Complete route, mileage, fuel usage, logbooks, and vehicle condition forms.
• Communicate with customers and dispatch regarding issues or concerns.
• Ensure safe operation and determine materials safe for transport.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck and equipment; report issues promptly.
