Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a Dump Truck Driver to safely operate commercial vehicles delivering sand, gravel, and crushed stone to project sites in North Carolina. You may drive water trucks or flatbeds and assist grading crews when needed.

Typical shifts are 8–14 hours, Monday–Friday, with overtime and occasional nights; some overnight travel may occur. A Class B CDL with HazMat/Tanker endorsements is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum of two years of commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating dump trucks in construction environments preferred.
• Valid Class B CDL required; tanker/HazMat endorsements preferred; Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as sand, gravel, and crushed rock.
• Safely dump loads using truck controls and mechanisms.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required reports.
• Maintain assigned vehicles and report mechanical issues.
• Assist grading and paving crews with general construction tasks as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and job site procedures.
