Job summary

Spokane County is seeking a Drop Box Driver for the Valley Transfer Station. The role involves safely operating a drop box truck, loading and unloading drop boxes, and coordinating with site supervisors to schedule service and maintain equipment.

The position requires a CDL B license and a minimum of three years' experience with tractor-trailer or truck-trailer operations. Applicants must pass required certifications and adhere to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years’ experience operating a tractor-trailer or truck-trailer (drop box truck).
• Must possess a CDL B and be able to pass job related certifications/training.

Responsibilities

• Drives a drop box truck to transport solid waste or recyclables.
• Inspects truck and equipment before driving to ensure safe operation.
• Performs routine maintenance and completes required paperwork.
• Coordinates with site staff to schedule service and ensure enough drop boxes.
• Responds to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
