Job summary

Composites One LLC seeks a CDL Driver / Warehouse Team Member to manage receipt, storage, shipment, and production processes while moving semi-trailers in the lot and occasionally driving routes. You will uphold safety and DOT/OSHA compliance and maintain accurate shipping records.

Requires a Class A CDL with endorsements, 3+ years tractor/trailer experience, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and strong communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years old.
• 3+ years related experience operating tractor/trailer equipment.
• Current Class A CDL with endorsements: general knowledge, air brakes, and combination vehicle.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements, safety awareness and hazmat shipping.
• Able to pass all DOT driver qualification standards.
• No serious traffic violations in the last 3 years, including specific disqualifications.
• Ability to learn internal databases and logistics systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and process inbound material; stock and process returns.
• Ensure accurate shipping following FIFO and handle back orders.
• Pull/assemble customer orders and verify outbound accuracy.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Maintain shipping/receiving data and communicate stockouts or damages promptly.
• Coordinate with drivers to load and deliver shipments.
• Transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely and compliantly.
• Represent the company professionally and wear the Composites One uniform.

Job description

As a CDL Driver / Warehouse Team Member, you will be responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, shipment and production process of materials according to all established Company and regulatory policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for moving semi-trailers within our parking lot and occasionally driving routes on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely receipt and shipping of all materials following FIFO and potential freight claim or back order procedures while supporting all freight and safety policies
• Receive, unload and process inbound material and shipments; stock material, process customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments
• Perform a variety of warehouse duties such as pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor product; move, store and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment
• Accurately maintain shipping and receiving related information
• Communicate potential stockouts, damaged material/packaging or labeling to appropriate staff in a timely manner
• Partner with Drivers to ensure efficient loading and delivery of shipments
• When driving, accurately and professionally transport and deliver hazardous and non-hazardous materials in a safe, compliant, timely and courteous manner
• Act as liaison between internal and external customers to provide Stellar Service and build long-term relationships
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive Company image to the public; wear the Composites One uniform with pride
• Understand and comply with applicable DOT, EPA, OSHA and specific HSE requirements, including the Driver Manual
• Actively participate in and support Company safety culture
• Maintain and operate Composites One equipment in a fiscally responsible and compliant manner

Expected Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be at least 25 years of age
• A minimum of 3 years related experience in the operation of tractor/trailer equipment
• Current Class A CDL driver's license with the following endorsements: general knowledge, air brakes, and combination vehicle
• Knowledge and understanding of OSHA requirements, safety awareness and hazardous material shipping
• Ability to pass all of the DOT driver qualification standards
• No serious traffic violations in the last 3 years, including NEVER being convicted of the following: reckless/careless driving, driving while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident or failure to report an accident, excessive speeding 20 MPH or more over the posted limits
• Ability to learn internal database and software systems; proficient with near-miss and MSDS, UPS, FedEx and dedicated Logistics systems
• Effectively communicate cross-functionally
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Travel: As assigned

Additional Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience with transporting hazardous material
• Computer experience including MS Office and Outlook
• Experience with a scanner

Physical Requirements for a CDL Driver / Warehouse Team Member:

• Moderate to heavy physical activity; ability to independently lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire length of shift; regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl; may be required to sometimes sit, climb, or balance
• Ability to reach, grasp, push and pull with hands and arms
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus; hand-eye coordination
• May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
• The noise level is moderate to loud
