Job summary

Phillips Manufacturing is seeking a Warehouse / CDL Driver in Tampa, FL. The role combines driving with warehouse duties on a 50/50 basis. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with some mandatory overtime.

You will operate a Class A equipped vehicle, perform vehicle inspections, secure loads, and assist with loading and unloading. The position requires compliance with safety rules, accurate paperwork, and professional interaction with customers and colleagues in a

Qualifications

• Possess a valid in-state commercial driver's license.
• 1-2 years commercial driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle to its destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads.
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Maintain a vehicle log, in accordance with state, federal and local regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water, to ensure that safety requirements are met.
• Position blocks and secure cargo by appropriate means during transit.
• May load and unload the vehicle as needed or required.
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Responsible for securing straps on product for safe and secure delivery.
• Responsible for securing tarps on loads to protect from elements as needed or requested
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicle or product to supervisor at the earliest time possible.
